Shanghai Songjiang Prosperous Community

As a landscape area of nearly 80,000 square meters, Shanghai Songjiang Prosperous Community is located in the center of Songjiang New Town, Shanghai. At the beginning of the design, the richness of the plot (high-rise residential, stacked, apartments, commercial, neighborhood center, etc.) and the unbounded nature (elastic roads, disappearing walls, variable spatial distances) inspired the public nature of the design: it was hoped that the users would resonate with each other through more participatory scenes, creating a natural encounter between people. The design crosses the red line and beyond, focusing on four types of public spaces: community parks, central playgrounds, neighborhood streets, and ribbon gardens. On the one hand, consider neighborhood interactions within the community; On the other hand, it grasps the public life of each extension community that is connected with the urban space, balances the public and private aspects of the client, and presents a community scene with great public characteristics.
