Chongqing
2019
This project is a renovation of an old stadium and its ancillary spaces. Banan District, where the project is located, is located at the southern end of Chongqing Municipality and is one of the nine core districts. The site covers an area of about 300,000 square meters, adjacent to the Yudong Yangtze River Bridge in the north and the Yudong Station, a hub for seamless transfer of rail lines 2 and 3 on the south side.
The planning and design of the site first connects the north and south ends from the space and circulation lines, the north side is close to the existing residential area, and the south end is directly connected to the exit of the Yudong subway station, connecting to the main flow of people, forming a central pedestrian corridor about 30 meters wide and 500 meters long. The introduction of a new basketball stadium with a capacity of 20,000 people on the east side, and the 150,000-square-meter split-level commercial complex Hi-Up on the north side bring a scarce one-stop shopping experience and large-scale event activities, bringing a new lifestyle to Banan. The project is characterized by sports and commercial activities, and is composed of a number of complex commercial buildings and cultural and sports venues such as Bloomage Cultural and Sports Center, M-Space, HI-PARK Basketball Park, HI-ZONE Stadium and HI-UP Commercial Center, which can hold international and domestic high-end basketball, ice hockey, interpretation and other cultural and entertainment activities and group sports events.
